Destined to become a classic. Aside from the transcendent beauty of the work, this piece has already demonstrated its power to unite people.
~ Liam Neeson, [Oscar Nominated Actor] Narrator (Dublin)
It was an absolute honor to be a part of such a wonderful group and experience! The trip itself was already incredible, but being able to rehearse and perform in the beautiful Stephansdom Cathedral was even better!! To this day, I still catch myself thinking about this experience, and I really wish I could do it again!
~ Stephanie Demorre, US Chorus (Vienna)
To the Birth of Christ family: Thank you for welcoming me into your family for an amazing experience this past Easter (2009). To worship our Lord through performing this fabulous musical work at the request of the Pope in the Vatican was beyond what I have dreamed of until now. The memories I made while rehearsing, singing, performing, touring, laughing, and living will be with me forever. Thank you isn't enough! Smiles & Blessings :)
~ Teri Wright, US Chorus (Rome)

As a professional musician, I was able to perform this magnificent piece in Italy. Andrew Miller's The Birth of Christ is unlike any other music I have have sung. A truly brilliant, moving and beautiful masterpiece.
~ Kathyanne Baumgardner, US Chorus (Rome)
I had an absolutely wonderful time at ALL our rehearsals. I felt so blessed to be there, to be singing with this chorus and Andrew, with our incredible soloists…and this piece of music…I cried at every rehearsal. The music is very moving and meaningful.
~ Chris Hall (Bachman), US Chorus (Rome)
Dear Maestro Miller, [Andy]
Being a part of the "Birth of Christ" at the Vatican was wonderful! Thank you for the opportunity to sing with you. I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was disappointing that we did not sing for the Holy Father, but we did sing for our Heavenly Father and I think he was pleased!
God has given you a great gift, Andy! Your music was such a joy to sing _ it moved me deeply! Keep writing! I hope I will be able to sing with you again.
Your singing sister ~ Susan (Vic & Laura) Santie, US Chorus (Rome)
The TBOC at the Vatican was not only a once in a lifetime opportunity, it was a life changing experience. There is nothing more moving than having a large group of good-hearted people come together for the common goal of communicating a pure message through the art of music. I was touched by the music we made in Rome and feel blessed to have been a part of it.

I have known and worked with Andrew T. Miller since 2004. He is an amazing, talented pianist and I am proud to call him a friend, mentor and music coach. I was privileged to be able to perform with him the first performance of The Birth of Christ in December 2004. Then again in Dublin, Ireland in August 2006, New York Carnegie Hall in December 2007 and Rome, Italy in April 2009. It never ceases to give me chills each time I hear it and hope to be able to participate in any upcoming performances that come up.
~ Sheilagh Romero, US Chorus (Dublin, Seattle, New York & Rome)
I have had the privelge and joy of performing with a group of talented singers in several productions of "The Birth Of Christ". It is a beautiful Christmas Cantata that presents the true and real story of Christ's birth. I am looking forward to being part of another production of this masterful work.
~ Sharon Sandman, US Chorus (Dublin, Seattle, New York & Rome)
This music is spiritually inspired and graced with the angels!

Audition day, and I'm sitting at the stop sign a block away from Andy's house, ready to turn around and go home, I was that nervous...But something drew me onward. At first it was the idea of Rome, romantic and special. Until I heard that glorious music; and from then on, I didn't care if we sand in an alley. I wanted to sing THAT music!
There were several rehearsals when I needed to stop singing and just listen to the sound of choir - heavenly angels all of them. I would go home afterwards with tears in my heart, weeping for the pain and confusion endured by Mary. However, my most favorite song has to be Joseph's Pledge. Until I heard this song, I had never really considered the agony of doubt and betrayal that Joseph surely suffered. What a very great man he was to choose Mary, and to accept her son as his own.
I am so very thankful for Andy's immense talent; and his loving and tender heart for music. His work made it possible for me to visit one of the most famous cities of the world - and what a visit it was! It was like seeing pictures come to life as we visited the Trevi Fountain and the Coliseum. The huge crowds were daunting but when shopping is involved, we persevered!
I don't know when my feet hurt the most - walking miles and miles and miles around Rome, or standing for three plus hours on a marble stage. After a while the feet go numb, and then the brain follows...darn, missed that note AGAIN!
The location of our concert, the Basilica di Santa Maria in Aracoeli, was awe-inspiring. You could actually imagine the heavenly angels coming down to sit among the chandeliers, listening, TO US! It must be humbling to worship in that facility on a regular basis.
I have to say, I was disappointed [at first] in the Italian cuisine. Being married to an Italian, I've been partial to his style of cooking. Then Eunice, Chris, Barb and I stumbled into this wonderful sidewalk cafe. It was gourmet delight...cafe latte and cannoli...YEAH! After that, all the Italian food was wonderful. I suppose I just needed a real sugar fix.
~ Bonnie Azzelino, US Chorus (Rome)
The trip was absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed every part of it. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will remember for forever.
~ Corina Rodriguez, Student Performer, US Chorus (Rome)
What an amazing experience our whole family had! If not for this opportunity, we would not have given ourselves a reason to go to Rome. Seeing our daughter sing in the choir was truly a memorable event!
~ Don & Vikki Patterson, Support Staff & Parents of US Chorus Member (Rome)
I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this group. This cantata is a beautiful piece of music, and it was amazing performing it in Rome, Italy. Being able to walk around the city and experience Rome was awe-inspiring. I look forward to working more with Andrew T. Miller in the future.
